FAQS

Common questions

Who can make a Will through SAGARA?

Most UAE residents and people with assets in the UAE can start with us. Eligibility for a specific registration route depends on your circumstances, so we assess it before you proceed.

What registration routes exist?

There is more than one route in the UAE, and the right one depends on factors such as your residence, assets and preferences. We explain the options that apply to you during the process.

What documents will I need?

Usually identity documents and details of your family, beneficiaries, executors and assets. We share an exact checklist after your initial assessment — you do not need to upload anything to start.

Can I name a guardian for my children?

You can nominate a guardian in your Will. A nomination expresses your wishes; how it is applied depends on the law and the circumstances at the time.

What is an executor?

The person you appoint to carry out the instructions in your Will. We help you think through who to choose and whether to name a substitute.

How much does it cost?

A Single Will is AED 2,000 and Mirror Wills are AED 3,500 in professional fees. Official registration fees and translations are separate and confirmed before you proceed.

How long does it take?

Timelines depend on how quickly information is gathered and on registration availability. We give you an estimate once we understand your needs.

Can I update my Will later?

Yes. Life changes such as marriage, a new child or new property are good reasons to review it. Updates are quoted separately.

Can this be done remotely?

Much of the process — questions, drafting and review — can be done online or by phone. Some registration steps may require attendance in person.
